Manchester my home town I felt was a good place to start on a series of blog posts about photographing in some of the UKs major cities to inspire folk to get out and explore.
Manchester is easily accessible via rail and by road, The cities tram system is a real bonus and aids access around the city out to other locations such as Salford quays. Lots of great place to stay and to eat and also try a Vimto as it was invited in Manchester in 1908 and now appears in many cocktail bars.
Some great locations to photograph

If its on a Saturday that your shooting and its the football season the you will also get the flow of city or united fans flowing through the city centre which can create some great shots.
