Many photographers get mentioned so I thought it was worth putting together my top 5 photographers to inspire your work. Everybody will have a different list based on the type of photography they like. Sometimes is based on genre sometime style sometime life story and sometimes a mix of all 3. I think we also need to be aware of what they did with the kit they had.
