A Capital Plan (shooting London) Camera Club Talk Overview

Ian Howard

Interested in finding out more about this talk - well here's an overview to outline the aims and the content it offers. This talk is built around the photo walks I have taken on around individuals and groups on in London and their amazement at the rich source of subjects - when you know where to go. After posting the 3 walks on the Blog it became clear from comments that there was a desire to hear more on these and to see the results.

In A Capital Plan (shooting London) Camera Club Talk Overview I will how the talk is based around 3 photo walks across London. The detailed routes and the support from the Blog mean that all of the walks or parts can easily be reproduced from your mobile phone, or a little pre-planning. As we look at the routes will will look at some of the key locations, opportunities along the way and images taken.

This is not a standard Camera Club talk in that it provides source material for the club or individuals to reproduce the walks and actively engage in a photo walk, if they wish or just enjoy the images from across the capital.

Duration can be from 90 min to 2 hours all depending on the group size and the length of your meetings.

So whats the key Aim:This was put together with the aim of getting photographers to be more adventurous and explore the city in a structured way. You do not need to adhere to the routes in fact the opposite but this should inspire you to take that first step. Travel information, access difficulties, and duration are all considered.

After the talk you will be supplied with a set of hand out slides to distribute to your members, so they have a reference and motivation to reproduce the walks.

If you are looking for something different in your camera club program then this could be the answer. A session of that creates interest and motivation for the club members to take on a new challenge as a collective if they wish or just get the most from a day in London.
